Wave starts are implemented in the 10km event to avoid congestion along the course.
They are split by roughly 5 minutes.
10km < 55 Minutes (FIRST WAVE)
For active runners who can complete 10km in under 55 minutes.
10km > 55 Minutes (SECOND WAVE)
For semi-active and casual runners and joggers who will try to run or jog the whole way but will more than likely finish in over 55 minutes.
